Securin Announces Updates to Leadership

Securin announces that Chairman Ram Movva is to be named the CEO and Chairman and GTM Veteran Rahul Kannan as President and COO. Aaron Sandeen to step down to take on a new challenge.

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, July 19, 2023 โ€“ Securin announced today that Aaron Sandeen is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 28. Taking over as CEO is Ram Movva, Securin Chairman and Co-Founder, and Rahul Kannan has been named President and Chief Operating Officer.

โ€œI want to thank the whole Securin team, and specifically Ram, for being both a friend and colleague and after having worked alongside him for these two years in various leadership capacities, he will help propel Securin to its next phase of growth,โ€ Sandeen stated.ย 

More about Movva
Movva, who founded Securin in 2021 and briefly served as the interim CEO at its inception before handing the reins off to Sandeen. Most recently, he has been serving as Board Chair and will move back into the CEO role, effective July 28. A serial entrepreneur, Movva founded Cyber Security Works and was part of the founding team at RiskSense, a risk-based vulnerability management company.

Kannan joins Securin following his role as vice president and general manager for go-to-market at Zuora.

Kannan is a business builder and operator with deep go-to-market expertise spanning sales & marketing, strategy, and product management functions, who has scaled businesses from $1M to $300M+.

Before Zuora, he held various leadership roles in product and GTM at Jasper IoT, where he helped transform Jasper’s business model, scale it, and integrate it into Cisco. Kannan spent his early years in strategy consulting with Carlisle & Company and Deloitte Consulting.
