OUR STORY
Born from a Simple Belief
In 2004, a ransomware attack shut down a small school district in the small town of Wagon Mound, New Mexico. There was no clear guidance on what to do first, and no margin for error.
What made the situation worse wasn't the sophistication of the attack. It was the absence of clarity. The district had no trusted way to understand what actually mattered in that moment. It was a problem no tool was solving. And it was the problem that would define Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala's founder journey.
The issue was never a lack of technology. It was the inability to separate exploitable risk from everything else competing for attention. Schools, hospitals, local governments: the ones who needed it most were the least equipped to navigate it.
A graduate of New Mexico Tech, Srinivas built his first company, RiskSense, at the intersection of offensive security and operational risk. Co-founded in 2015, RiskSense grew into a category leader in risk-based vulnerability management before being acquired by Ivanti in 2021. The conviction that drove it, that defenders need to know what's actually exploitable, not just what's theoretically possible, carried with him. After a post-acquisition leadership role, he felt the pull to build again, this time to solve the problem at its root.

Securin is a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA), participates in CISA's Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), is an early adopter of CISA's Secure by Design pledge, and holds a growing patent portfolio spanning systemic cyber risk, vulnerability prioritization, and attack-sequence disruption.
That experience shapes our practical approach: research must lead to action, and technology must serve the people defending their organizations. Today, we work alongside enterprises, government agencies, healthcare organizations, utilities, and critical infrastructure providers to deliver clear answers and measurable progress.
